Polytimi Makropoulou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Literature of the Faculty of French Language and Literature of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

She has a specialization in the French Literature of the 17th century. In 2000, she obtained her Ph.D. in French Literature which is entitled “Childhood and infantilism in Charles Perrault’s fairy tales: in search of a recipient”. Moreover, articles of hers have been published both in French and English magazines, as well as in international conferences’ minutes.

Her work focuses on the French Literature of the 17th century and, more specifically, on the French fairytales of the late 17th century. In her more recent works, her research interest encompasses the issue of the association between Literature and intercultural education and, additionally, the contribution of creative writing to the learning of French as a Foreign Language.
